A B O U T A N N A H A Y M A N
I have always been a dreamer, and have forever been attracted to the bohemian lifestyle, as the Bloomsbury Group enjoyed at Charleston Farmhouse, near my home in East Sussex.
Enduringly obsessed with pattern, crafts, and design, I consider myself wonderfully lucky to have been encouraged to pursue these obsessions and make them a livelihood.
Ever influenced by the Art Deco period, and my own 1920's home I mix elements of this era and the Biba era, along with my own indigenous style to create prints with soul and timelessness.
Avid about texture, my fringed lampshades and soft velvets, along with my heavy patterned papers, tasselled cushions and bedspreads evoke a langourous, decadent way of being which I love.
I create each print carefully using either lino cutting techniques or painting with ink or decorators paints. The colours I adore are inky blues, blush pinks, hot green, gold and of course black.
I have used my home as a canvas for my work as seen below, on my journal, and on my instagram feed. I have embarked now on traditional Interior Design, as well as products, where I can design bespoke prints for each client, offering a truly unique service. Please email for more information on this.
My lampshades and cushions are stocked at Liberty, Harrods, and Bergdorf Goodman in New York.
